Services for James B. Blanton, 88, Ft. Worth, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Troy Suggs Funeral Home Chapel, Dallas.

Interment was at Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Blanton passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006. He was born on March 19, 1918, in Emory.

He lived the last two years at Hill Villa Retirement Center, Ft. Worth. He lived most of his life in Dallas. He served in the Navy during WWII, and retired from OTIS Engineering. He was a Master Mason, past Master of Brunt & Connor Lodge # 1322.

Survivors include son, Fred Blanton of Ft. Worth; grandsons, James Blanton and wife Susan, John Blanton and wife Chris, Jason Blanton and wife Mandy; granddaughter, Shannon Adkins and husband Michael; sister, Wanda (Williams) Nutt of Emory; brother, John Alford Blanton of Emory, Nils Blanton of Brashear; and 11 great-grand-children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen.
