Long Time Martin County Resident Succumbs Sunday
Services were held at 3 p. m. today in the Stanton Baptist church for Eason Edward Eiland, 72, long time resident of Martin county. He succumbed Sunday at 11:30 a. m.
Eiland came to Martin county in 1911 with him wife, Mary Ellen Eiland.
Surviving him are his widow, four sons, L. B. Eiland, Bowney, Cal., Troy N. Eiland, Midland, Willie S. Eiland, Reno, Nev., Roby J. Eiland, Socarro, N. M.; two daughter, Lois Katherin Eiland, Stanton, and Mrs. John F. Cox, Snyder; three brothers, W. W. Eiland, Stanton, C. C. Eiland, Greenville, and B. B. Eiland, Shreveport, La.; and two sister, Mrs Fred Hale, Trent, and Mrs. Marvin Alexander, Lubbock.
He also leave 31 grand children.
Last rites were conducted by Rev. Raines, pastor of the Stanton Baptist church, and interment was the Evergreen cemetery. Eberley Funeral home, Big Spring, was in charge of arrangements.
