DENNEY -- Clifford Denney, 63, 712 E ave. west, died at his home early Friday morning. Born Nov. 21, 1909 in Mahaska County he was the son of Thomas and Daisy Perkins Denney. He was a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Wanda) DeFrehn, Grand Island, Nebr., and Mrs. Bob (Joan) Holliday, Urbandale; seven grandchildren; his father, Thomas Denney of Oskaloosa; one brother, Walter Denney of Davenport; two sisters Mrs. Ethel Armstrong, Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Edith Ring, Riceville. Services for Clifford Denney will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Charles Mannhardt officiating. Burial will be in Wymore Cemetery. A Christian Wake will be recited at the Newman Funeral Chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
