He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a retired machine operator for Mead Container in Fort Smith and was a member of Butterfield Assembly of God Church.
He was survived by his wife, Velma Ming of the home; four daughters, Karen Myers of Cedarville, AR, Laurna Brown of Van Buren, AR, Gina Loyd of Cabot, AR, and Becky Weitlich of Shawnee, KS; four sons, Dale Ming of Van Buren, AR, Gary Ming of Rudy, AR, Lenny Ming of Van Buren, AR, and Mike Ming of Van Buren, AR; two sisters, Wanda Owens of Mountainburg, AR and Doris Kizer of Oregon; two brothers, Waymon Ming of Selma, CA and Hoyt Ming of Springdale, AR; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service was Friday, August 14, 2009 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
