Dosha G. Denton Dies At Hospital

TRAFALGAR -- Mrs. Dosha Gertrude Denton, widow of the late Samuel P. Denton, died Monday night at 8 o'clock in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past three years.

Funeral services have been set for 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon and will be in the Trafalgar Christian Church. Burial will take place in the First Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sprague Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock, at night from 7 to 9 o'clock and on Thursday until time for the services. They are invited to attend the rites.

Native of Trafalgar

The daughter of the late Bailey and Margaret Hunt Anderson, Mrs. Denton was born at Trafalgar on Oct. 18, 1879, and was educated in the Trafalgar schools.

She became the bride of Mr. Denton on April 6, 1898, at Trafalgar, and four children were born to them. A son, Baxter, died at the age of three years on July 27, 1902. Mr. Denton died Aug. 13, 1934. For the last two years, she had made her home with the daughters.

Mrs. Denton was a member of the Trafalgar Christian Church.

Those who survive are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Handley, Mrs. Stanley Forsyth, of Franklin; and a son, Joseph Denton, of Oakland, Calif.

Others remaining are three grandchildren, Mrs. Jo Ann Vaught, of San Diego, Calif.; Miss Sue Handley, of San Francisco, Calif.; and Denny Forsyth, of Franklin.
