AKIN, William Riley - W.R. Akin died Monday night of this week, age 62 years. Funeral services were held at the family home on North Rust Ave. at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. F.R. Brunner. Burial was in the Gentry Cemetery.

William Riley Akin was born June 1, 1860 in Marion Co., Ark. At the age of 22 he was married to Dulsie Parker of Marion Co., Ark. To this union was born 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls, all of whom are living. At the age of 25 he joined the Christian church of which he lived a member until his death. He departed this life Feb. 13, 1922 at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 12 days. He had been a sufferer for many years. Rich in faith, strong in hope, trusting always in the Lord, his death came as sleep comes to the laborer when the day's work is done and thus he departed to that country from whose home no traveler ever
returns.
