Margaret Martin was the daughter of Levi Martin and Anna (Annie) Allen. She was born in Indiana, on February 12, 1835. Her family,also,lived in Ohio and 1838 moved near Marysville, Nodaway County, Missouri. She married Peter Noffsinger, Jr., 9 April 1853. In 1858 or 1859, they moved to a 400 acre farm near Monrovia, Kansas, in Atchison County. They had 10 children:Julia, William (Bill), Missouri 'Ann', Levi, John, Amanda, Margaret, Lona, Clara and Maude. They, also, raised a foster child, Robert Johnson Ackley.
