Mrs. Zelma L. Handley, 87, died in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, March 28, 2009. She was born July 5, 1921 in Rochelle, GA. Moved to the Central Florida area in 1959 from Lawton, OK. Mrs. Handley enjoyed country western music, reading, dancing and bowling. She was very proud of the fact that her sons graduated from the University of Florida. Mrs. Handley was a homemaker, the hardest job of all. Mrs. Handley was of the Baptist Faith, a member of the Oak Griner Baptist Church. She is survived by: her son's Jerry Handley of Gainesville, FL and Larry D. Handley of Oviedo, FL, 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. There will be a graveside service on Friday April 3, 2009 At 11:00 AM with Rev. Frank Grant, officiating at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, FL 34471, arrangements by Heirs-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala Chapel.
