A Long-Lived Family, the death of the Widow of Peter Gehris.

Mrs. Mary Gehris, the widow of the late Peter Gehris, died at her residence in District Township, of a stroke of apoplexy, aged 91 years. Deceased was in good health up to within a few days of her death. Mrs. Gehris lived all her days within a quarter of a mile of where she was born, having moved but once.

Mrs. Gehris was twice married. Her first husband, William Thompson, died about 64 years ago, and her second husband, 4 years ago. Of the first husband, the following children survive: Dr. L. H. Thompson, of this city; John H. Thompson, Doe Run, Chester County, and Joel G. Thompson, Coatsville. Of her second husband the following survive: Henry and Peter Gehris of Fleetwood, and Daniel Gehris of Richmond.

The family is noted for its longevity. Deceased's oldest sister, Betsy, was 94 years old when she died; a second sister, Nancy, 76 years; the third, Katie, was 93, the fourth, Susanna, 92, and the fifth sister, Sarah died aged 80 years, while the mother of this family was 97 years old.
