Anderson Earl Adams was born October 12, 1897 on his grandfather's farm near Perkins, Oklahoma. He was the son of George Dixon Adams and Eunice Malloy Adams.
His early schooling was in a one room school near Arnett, Oklahoma, where his parents owned a farm and blacksmith shop. His uncle, John Adams, operated the shop.
Earl's parents and a cousin, Loren John Adams, and family moved in a covered wagon from Arnett to a farm near Carnegie when Earl was sixteen. Two years later they moved to a farm one mile east of Lake Valley.
Little did Earl know that a mile south of his new home was his future bride, Miss Ethel Burzella Kelsoe. They were married March 10, 1918.
