Herbert E. Epperson
---Herbert E. Epperson, 83, of rural Elmer, Missouri, died Friday, (March 13, 1992), at Boone Hospital Center, in Columbia, Missouri.
---Mr. Epperson was born on October 7, 1908, at Elmer, Missouri, the son of John Henry Epperson and Amelia (Aultman) Epperson. On December 23, 1933, at Elmer, Missouri, he married Elizabeth Boyd, who survives.
---He is also survived by four children, Mrs. (Harry) Mary Williams, of La Plata, Missouri; Donald Epperson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; John Vernon Epperson, of Washington, Illinois; and Mrs. Frank (Linda Ruth) Bush, of Macon; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dan Epperson, of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Dunseith, of Atlanta, Missouri; Lillian Smith, of Ottumwa, Iowa; Lorene Easley, of Kirksville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
---He was preceded in death by his parents, a son in infancy, Eddie Epperson; and a brother, Howard Epperson.
---Mr. Epperson spent all of his life on the family farm south of Elmer, Missouri. He received his education at the Rock Creek School, south of Elmer, Missouri. He was a charter member and served as deacon of the Assembly of God Church in Elmer, Missouri.
---Funeral services were held on Sunday, (March 15, 1992) at the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta with the Rev. Allen Perkins, of the Assembly of God Church of Elmer, officiating. Musical selections were "Wonderful Peace" and "Standing Somewhere in the Shadows", provided by Linda Perkins, soloist and Sue Cavender, organist. Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Pike, Junior Dunseith, Richard Dunseith, Richard Epperson, Howard Easley, and Norman Vose.
