Clella Sibyl Eveland was born May 14, 1911 on a farm near Newton, Illinois. She was the fifth of nine children born to William and Charlotta "Lottie" Eveland. She married Merle McIntire on March 13, 1932. Clella and Merle had a stillborn baby girl on December 8, 1933. Her name was Marjorie Ellen McIntire. Clella passed away at her parent's home on January 8, 1934 after a short illness from pneumonia. Services were held at Oak Hill church with Reverend J.M. Bradbury of Mattoon officiating.
