Mr. Ewalt Flegle was born December 30, 1856, in Somerset County. He spent most of his time in farming and woodwork. He was married many years ago to Margaret Bender, who preceded him in death about one year ago. About six weeks ago Mr. Flegle became afflicted and was confined to the house until the final call came, which was about 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening, February 11, 1926. He had been a member of the Daley Christian Church for more than 44 years. he leaves to mourn his death the following children, viz: Mary, wife of Walter Ling of Cairnbrook, Pa.; Howard, of Cairnbrook, Pa.; Jennie, wife of Elmer Miller, and Dennis Flegle both of Helixville, Pa.; Lettie, wife of L. J. Miller, of Schellsburg, Pa., and Prudence, wife of Norman Miller of New Paris, Pa. Mr. Flegle will be greatly missed in our vicinity, as he was a kind neighbor, and ready to lend a helping hand. He was taken to the Daley Church on Sunday afternoon, where Rev. Mattern had charge of the services, after which the deceased was interred in the nearby cemetery.
