Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia E. "Bitty" (Davis) Carr, 81, of Anderson, IN, and formerly of Overton County, were conducted Saturday, December 27, 2003, from the chapel of Robert D. Loose Funeral Home in Anderson.

Burial was in Pleasant Walk Cemetery in Anderson.

Mrs. Carr died Monday, December 22 at her home.

Born June 12, 1922, on Walker Mountain in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late William Hickman and Emma (Smith) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodroe Carr; a daughter, Sheila Fern Carr; three sons, Stanley Carr, Willie Ray Carr, and Steve Carr; four brothers, Walter Davis, Estel Davis, Ira Davis, and Cecil Smith; and a great grandson, Kevin Scott.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Wayne Carr and his wife, Diane, and David Carr and his wife, Becky, all of Anderson; three daughters, Shelby Bennett and her husband, Joe, of Anderson, and Geraldine Centers and friend, Clark Hovermale, both of Sweetser, IN, and Helen Carpenter of Marion, IN; two sisters, her twin, Gladys Carr of Anderson and Latta Copeland of Allred; an aunt, Bertha Neal of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
