GATEWOOD-HAWES WEDDING JUNE 29

Mr. and Mrs. Moses Joseph Gatewood, of Columbus, Ga., have issued invitations to the marriage of their daughter, Constance Carlene, to Mr. Benjamin Walker Hawes, lieutenant United States Army, at the First Presbyterian church, Columbus, Ga., at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 29. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Woman's club house, Wynnton road, Columbus.

Lieut. Hawes is located at Fort Benning, Ga. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bright Hawes, of Maceo.

Miss Constance Carlene Gatewood, of Columbus, Ga., and Lieut. Benjamin Walker Hawes, Fort Benning, Ga., will be married at the First Presbyterian church, Columbus, at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 29. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Woman's club house, Wynnton road, Columbus.

Mr. and Mrs. Bright Hawes, of Maceo, parents, and messers. Powhattan and Holloway Hawes, brothers of the bridegroom, will leave Thursday, June 27, for Columbus. Mr. G. Bright Hawes will serve as his son's best man, and the Messrs. Hawes, as groomsmen in the wedding.

Hawes, Col. Benjamin Walker, 78, of 59 Woodford Ave., Owensboro, died Monday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Louisville. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial in Hawes Graveyard, Daviess County. Visitation after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
