Bryans Road, MD - John T. Gillooly, 61, of Bryans Road, MD. formerly of Sesser, died at 11:49 am Saturday, Jan 26, 1985, in La Plata, MD.

He was the manager of reliability and maintainability in the chief engineer office of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (SASA).

He was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and a World War II Army veteran.

He was born Feb 14, 1923 in Sesser,Illinois to Henry E. and Isabella Jorden Gillooly. He received a chemical engineering degree from the University of Alabama.

He married the former Jennieve Daniel, who survives.

Also surviving are four daughters Lennieve Ford of Centreville, Patricia Hawkins of Knoxville, Tenn. Janet Gillooly of La Plata, MD and Shelia Gillooly of Ashton, MD; four sons, Michael of Annapolis, MD, Dennis of Waldorf, MD., Gregory of Fort Washington, MD. and Jeffrey of Bryans Road, MD., one brother Charles Gillooly of Lake Tahoe, California; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 9:30 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head, MD; burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Glymont, MD. The arehart Funeral Home in La Plata, MD is in charge of arrangements.
