Charlotte 'Brucie' Cartee McClave Alderson, age 66, of Westerville, Ohio, for 34 years, transitioned to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 7, 2009. She was born in Ashland, to Emerald 'Bruce' and Charlotte McClave. She is at peace as she has passed on to be with God. She was caring, sweet, gentle, genuine and always fun, loved to laugh and smile, and was a devoted Christian. She attended Meadow Park Church of God and was a former elementary school educator in Kentucky and Indiana. She was an undergrad and master in education from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Rush Chapter OES in Boyd County. She loved kids/children and she enjoyed flowers and gardening. She had a green thumb and enjoyed reading her Bible in the mornings. She battled lupus and a number of health challenges most of her life (quiet fighter), but never complained and always looked at the sunny side of life.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband of 44 years, Frank; a son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Erin, whose recent marriage made her extremely happy.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville, where a celebration of her life will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery in Carter City, Ky.
