the Rev. William Wills LEE & his first wife,
Hezekiah Ann ANDERSON.
She was the wife of Samuel LaFayette NEWTON.

North Carolina Death Certificate: Laura A. NEWTON was born the 30th of June, 1858 [sic], in Screven County to W. W. LEE, who was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, & Ann ANDERSON, who was also born in Screven County. She was a widow and a resident of 32 Soco Street, having moved to Asheville from Savannah, Georgia, ten years earlier. She died at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, on the 13th of July, 1918, at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 13 days, with burial in Savannah on the 14th. The informant for her death certificate was Vance WELLS of the same address, Asheville, North Carolina.

Abstract from Laurel Grove Cemetery Keepers Book: Mrs. Laura A. NEWTON died the 13th of July, 1918, and was buried the following day in Lot 2453. She was aged 60 years, a native of Georgia, and a resident of Asheville, N.C. (died out of city).
