"Fallon March 16- Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Weaver's fifty-first wedding anniversary was celebrated last week with a surprise family dinner in honor of the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver are long time residents of Fallon. They were married March 2, 1881 in Illinois and came to Churchill County in 1910, when they purchased the Ed Frazier place south of town. Mr. Weaver was seventy-nine years old March 4, and Mrs. Weaver was seventy-one today, March 16.

St Patrick decorations were used to make the table attractive. Those present at the dinner were their daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Inman, their four sons and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Ferla Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Weaver of Fernley and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Weaver, also their granddaughter and husband Mrs. Coeur d'Alene Bean, lives in Oak Park, Illinois.

One of their grandsons, Dick Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Weaver, was the first Churchill County boy to give his life in World War II. He went down with the USS Arizona."

Death Claims Fallon Man

"Fallon, July 16 - Funeral services for L.C. Weaver, who died in Fallon Wednesday evening will be held Saturday with arrangements under the direction of Roe and Kaiser Chapel.

Mr. Weaver was born in Maple Mills, Ill in 1864 and was a merchant in Kirksville. Ill before coming to Fallon in 1910. He bought a ranch here and lived there until the time of his death.

Surviving are his widow and the following daughters and sons, Mrs. Cour D'Alene Bean of Illinois, Mrs. Frank Inman, Fallon, Ray and Ferla Weaver of Fallon, Ted Weaver of Fernley and Leonard Weaver of Overton; twenty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive."
