Salina Journal Sunday, November 15, 1998 Hazel Kearn CONCORDIA — Hazel Kearn, 73, Concordia, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Mrs. Kearn was born Hazel Trowbridge on Dec. 2, 1924, at Concordia and was a lifelong resident.
She was a homemaker and a member of Women of the Moose, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, George; seven sons, Darrell, Dennis, Ralph, Bob and Dannie, all of Concordia, Donnie of Miltonvale and Tom of Nevada, Mo.; five daughters, Debra Mosher of Concordia, Sherry Lewis of Haddam, Dorothy West of Beloit, Sandy Vopat of Aurora and Brenda Hestee of Kent, Wash.; two brothers, Milford Trowbridge of Concordia and Milton Trowbridge of Gastonia, N.C.; two sisters, Virginia Ray of Las Vegas and Ellen Rae Dale of Gastonia; 42 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Wesleyan Church, Concordia. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Nutter Mortuary, 116 E. Sixth, Concordia 66901, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
