MRS. REUBEN WONDERLING
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, for Mrs. Reuben Wonderling; who died in the home of her son, Ralph Wonderling, in Summerville, on Sunday, July 31. Death was caused by the infirmities accompanying old age after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Wonderling, who was 86 years and 19 days old, was born in Oliver township on July 12, 1852. She was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Bloom) Reitz, and the wife of Reuben Wonderling. She had made her home in the Summerville district for the past 27 years. She is survived by the following four sons and three daughters; James B., Coolspring; William H., Brookville; Ralph R., Summerville; Ida M., wife of Allan Guthrie; Dora, wife of E. M. Carrier, Summerville; Beulah, wife of Dennis Brophy, Detroit, Mich.; and Thaddeus M., Warren. One sister, Mrs. Malinda Richards, Punxsutawney, and 46 grandchildren and 74 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Wonderling was a member of the Pine Valley Evangelical church. Funeral services were held in the Summerville M.E. church at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, August 2. Interment was in the Zion Cemetery.
