Miss Confer had suffered a severe and near-fatal heart attack six months ago. She recovered sufficiently to resume her work, the direction of a church nursey school, following Labor Day. The fatal seizure came upon her last evening while she was about her normal activities.
Miss Confer lived with her sister, Mrs. Forrest Y. Mumbauer, at Levittown. She was born at Orviston, daughter of Herbert D. and the late Elizabeth Marshall Confer. Her mother died in 1930.
She was graduated in 1934 from the Mill Hall High School and was a member of the Mill Hall Church of Christ.
Surviving are two brothers, Herbert D., Jr., Flemington and Carl H., Mill Hall RD; and the sister, Mrs. Mumbaurer; her grandfather, H.F. Marshall of Flemington; her father and step-mother, Mill Hall; and the following step-brothers and step-sister: Richard Berry, Doylestown; Max and William Berry, and Mrs. John P. Fetter, Mill Hall; and Ronnie Berry, Salona.
