STIMPSON -- Rites for Mrs. Martha Stimpson, 62, who died Wednesday, November 20 at her home 311 South Ohio were held Friday afternoon at the Waugh Chapel. Mrs. Stimpson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anna Sinclair, Iola, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Tate, Iola, and Mrs. Edith Geller, Coffeyville; four brothers, Frank Hufferd, Bartlesville, Okla.; and Jess, George and Daniel Hufferd all of Iola, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
NOTE: Obituary is clearly dated November 21, 1940, and reports that Martha died on November 20. However, the cemetery listing has her death date as 11/23/1954; there is no grave stone. That record in the cemetery office has to be incorrect.
