Robert E. Brusherd "Bob" Age 67, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully August 6, 2009 at His late residence. Born in Berwyn, living in Lockport for four years. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing anywhere he could find a lake. He also enjoyed and was proud to help his grandson build his electric train set. A U. S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (Newett); sisters, Dorothy Barr and Lori Bouse. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Peggy (Gedminas); his daughter, Karen (Jeff) Bartecki of Lockport; four grandchildren, Sydney, Makenna, Logan and Mitch; brothers, Joseph (Peggy) and Tom (Tangee); sisters, Delores (Al) Likeum, Marilyn Brusherd and Roxanne (Gene) Allen; in-laws, Allan (Patti), Tony (Jan) and John Gedminas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph School, Lockport would be appreciated. A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 410 South Jefferson Street, Lockport with Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment on Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
