Elizabeth WILLIAMS Richardson died November 1, 1929. Her obituary appeared in the "Barnesville Gazette:"
IN MEMORY OF MRS. ELIZABETH RICHARDSON
"On Friday night, November 1st, our heavenly Father took from us our dear loved one, Mrs. Elizabeth Richardson. Her going has left a vacancy which can never be filled. She was confined to her bed only a few days where her grandchildren and loved ones did everything that could be done, as did Dr. Willis.
She was the Mother of four children, the only survivor being Robert N. RICHARDSON, Jr.
On June 22nd, 1855 she was married to Robert N. RICHARDSON, who lost his life in the Civil War in the year 1863. Before her marriage she was Miss Elizabeth WILLIAMS, daughter of Mr. Billy WILLIAMS, of Meansville, Ga.
Grannies, as we all called her, was so dear, not only to some, but to all as we all loved her. She was born March 15, 1840 and in early girlhood she joined Fredonia Congregational Church and since has lived a life that our Savior would have us to live. What a blessing it would be if we all could live as Grannies lived. She stood the test and we believe she succeeded.
Her going has left many bereaved ones, especially her grandchildren who were so fond of her.
The funeral was held at Fredonia Church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Stanly, pastor of the church, paid a beautiful tribute to her life. The service was largely attended by relatives and friends. Her body was laid to rest in the Church Cemetery under a mound of pretty flowers."
