JOE COOPER
RANDOLPH. -- Joe Cooper (sic Joseph D. Cooper), 81, died here at his home Sunday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist church of which he was a member. Conducted by the Rev. Reese and the Rev. C.C. Haizlip with interment in Randolph cemetery. Mr. Cooper
had lived here 75 years. He was a native of Kentucky, having come to Texas at the age of six in a train of ox wagons.
Mr. Cooper is survived by the following children: Mrs. W.A. Thomas (nee Sallie Cooper), Muskogee, Okla.; Mrs. J.B. Cole (nee Birdie Cooper), Sherman; Mrs. G.C. Dyer (nee Virginia Cooper) , Oscar Cooper, Ammon Cooper, and Miss Lillian Cooper, all of Randolph.
Comments: Joseph D. Cooper was married to Virginia E.M. "Jane" Cooper, daughter of Fannin County, TX pioneers Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.
