Wilson Baggett II
Wilson Tate Baggett, II, died March 2. He was 68.
Memorial services were March 5, at Darlington Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Baggett was born in St. Stephen, son of the late Robert Ellison and Blanche Evelyn Crawford Baggett. He played college football for Gordon Military Academy in 1960 and was drafted by the Washington Redskins. He was a salesman for the manufactured housing industry and was past member of St. Stephen Lion's Club and St. Stephen Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He held several positions in the Berkeley County Republican Party and was a Little League football coach in St. Stephen. Mr. Baggett was a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church and the Men's Prayer Group.
Surviving are his wife, Macquelyn Turner Baggett of Darlington; seven sons, Robert Aldrich of Camden, Thomas (Momi) Aldrich of Moncks Corner, Dr. William (Lisa) Aldrich of Sumter, John (Phyllis) Aldrich of Conway, Wilson T. (Debbie) Baggett, III of Moncks Corner, Whilden (Shonda) also of Moncks Corner, and Brian (Sarah) Jones of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Victoria (Fritz) Hood of Moncks Corner and Sadie (Gage Blue) Beach of Mt. Pleasant; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ellison Baggett, Jr.
Belk Funeral Home of Darlington is assisting the Baggett family.
