Funeral services for Fred Ross, age 93, of Big Sandy, were held Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 3 p.m., at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home, in Big Sandy, with Bro. Joey Simmons officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, in Big Sandy. Mr. Ross passed away Sunday, June 11, at Camden Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Camden. He was born on Sept. 30, 1912, in Huntsville, Ala., to the late John Clinton and Martha Angelica Wade Ross. He was a minister, retired from General Motors, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Macie Kirkendall and Nicie Bradley; three brothers, Earlie Clinton Ross, William Carl Ross, and Clyde Wilson Ross.
