He was born April 7, 1904, at Concordia. He was a retired farmer, stockman and a lifelong resident of Cloud County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Grace, of the home; a son, Alvin Lee, of Concordia; a daughter, Lula Mae Bolander, of Phoenix, Arizona; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Lawrence of Concordia.
The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Lung Association.
