Herbert C. Griffeth, 59, 105 North Star, was pronounced dead on arrival at Grave at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. He had been in ill health for a year. Born April 29, 1910, at Burdett, he had been a Hutchinson resident 45 years. He was married to Pauline E. Sutton, July 4, 1937, at Hutchinson. He was a retired clerk at Colladay Hardware.

He was a member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors are the widow, of the home; daughters, Mrs. Barbara Pennel, 907 West 2nd; Mrs. Judy Pitts, 111 North Star; Deborah Kay Griffeth, of the home; sons, Herbert C., Jr., of the home; Robert A.; U.W. Army, Korea; Richard L., of the home; Stepmother, Mrs. Grace Griffith, Kalamazoo, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Mildred Welch., Buhler; Mrs. Myrtle Long, 624 East 4th; six grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lt. Col. Charles Overstake. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
