Our beloved Mother, Life Companion and friend, Shirley Ann McKnight of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico passed over into her new life on August, 05 2009 in Las Cruces, NM due to a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on August, 18 1935 in Caribou, Maine. She was 73 years old. Shirley had been a resident of T or C since June of 1981.
Shirley was a fun-loving, sweet, friendly person to all who had the pleasure of making her acquaintance. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She was loved very deeply by her family and friends and we will all miss her loving nature, sunny smile and laughter.
Survivors include her loving life partner of over 13 years, Mr. Billy Tipton of the family home, Daughter, Diana Misamore (Doug) of Westminster, Maryland, Son, Dana Alan McKnight & life partner Mary Gray of Cottonwood, Arizona, 2 brothers, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless friends and acquaintances.
Shirley was preceded in death by the recent passing of her son Daniel Lee McKnight of T or C in March of this year.
Immediate cremation was handled by, Sunrise Cremation Society of Albuquerque, NM.
