Age 74, a native of Coffeeville, AL and a long time resident of Saraland, AL died on Thursday, March 30, 2000. Mr. Howell was retired from International Paper Company. He was currently working part-time for the Kushla Water District. Mr. Howell was a deacon of LaFette Baptist Church. He also was a dedicated member of the Saraland Historic Society and Pentalpha Lodge #804 of Saraland, and member of the Shriner's and the Scottish Rite. Mr. Howell was a veteran of World War II and a life time member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Mittie Drinkard Howell; three sons, Steve (Margaret) Howell, Eric (Alicia) Howell, Tim (Carla) Howell; four grandchildren, Shea Howell, Luke Howell, Crystal Howell, Samantha Howell; one brother, Tollie (Dot) Howell; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2000 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home at 2PM. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12-2PM Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.
