He was born in rural Piatt County, Il. to Fred J. and Florence Beebe Warner. He married Alfredia Wells on June 3, 1946, in Garrett, Il. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Donald Edward (Shirley) Warner, Thomas Eugene Warner and Rocky Allen (Donna) Warner, all of Garrett; one daughter, Sue Ellen Felton of Tuscola; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth (Lilly) Warner and Dicky Warner, both of Atwood and Larry (Becky) Warner of Bourbon and two sisters, Mary Carroll of Atwood and June Tuggle of Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wilford Warner.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving under General George Patton in the Third Army, 282nd Combat Engineers, Company C.
