Albert Smith Dies; Last Rites Held Thursday

Albert G. Smith, 57, of West died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Corsicana where he was employed at a cotton mill.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Aderhold Funeral Chapel with Reverend James Quilter officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West.

Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Aderhold Chapel.

Mr. Smith had worked at the Corsicana mill about two years. He was a native of Wesson, Mississippi, and had lived in West since 1925.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Marcie Ann Herring of Waco and Mrs. Lillie Marie Shumate of Tampa, Florida; five brothers, Y. D. Smith of Cleburn, Quitman Smith of Waco, Percy Smith of West, Frank Smith of San Diego, California and Ray Smith of Houston; two sisters, Miss Dovie Smith of Keen and Mrs. Agnes Wilson of Temple; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Wm. H. Smith, Jerry Smith, Leo Miller, Albert Weinberger, Alfonse Weinberger and Joe Janda.
