Paul B. Bartlett Succumbs at 63
Had Lived Here Past 36 Years
Paul B. Bartlett, sixty-three, of 525 Center St. died in Buffalo General Hospital suddenly on Wednesday afternoon (March 27, 1968).
Born in Auburn Heights, Mich., on Oct. 26, 1904, Mr. Bartlett came to this area as a child and had been a resident of Salamanca the past thirty-six years. He had been employed as a railway postal clerk for forty years before retiring in July, 1964.
Mr. Bartlett was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the National Association of Retired Civil Employes.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Bartlett: two sons, David Bartlett of Rochester and James Bartlett of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ellwin Heier of Cattaraugus, several grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. William (Beverly) Sutton, Mrs. George (Alfreda) Thayer. and Paul Gates, all of Salamanca.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Hunt Funeral Home, 20 River St. Services will be held in the Free Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. T. B. Hamilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Steamburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Free Methodist Church or to Salamanca District Hospital.
