GEORGE H. BUCHHOLZ
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home for George Homer Buchholz, a former West Linn Planning Commission chairman, who died Sunday in a local hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Buchholz was born in Lenexa, Kan., but lived in the Portland area for the past 80 years.
He was a manager for G.W. Paulson Co. until his retirement in 1967.
He was a graduate of Boise Business College.
Mr. Buchholz was a past president of the Tillamook Kiwanis Club and was a member of the Portland Downtown Kiwanis Club.
He was a member of the West Linn Planning Commission for 18 years and served as chairman for eight years.
He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Blodgett of Dayton; a brother, Willis of West Linn; two sisters, Selma Bryans of Portland and Alma Schudde of Oregon City; and three grandchildren.
Private inurnment will be in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. The family suggests that rememberances be contributions to the Oregon Heart Association.
