He is the son of Henry and Harriet (Neal) Fullenwider. He was married twice. His frist wife was Elizabeth Little and his second wife was Amanda Permelia Fox. His children include: Henry, Elizabeth Agnes, Harriet A., Mary Lilly, and Lucinda Virginia. Solomon Fullenwider served in the U. S. Military during the Civil War. He enlisted into the Union Army on 14 August 1862. He was identified as being from Mechanicsburg, Illinois. He was assigned as a Corporal to Company C, 124th Illinois Infantry. Corporal Fullenwider was a waggoner in the Union Army. He died on 10 January 1864 at Camp Butler, Illinois.
