Malvin Davis Gilbert of 101 Cambridge Court, Tullahoma, died Wednesday at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was 78.
Born in Shelby County, he was son of the late Charles W. and Lavada Snavely Gilbert. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired maintenance supervisor with Western Union and a member of the Good News Christian Fellowship church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Tullahoma Funeral Home chapel with Loyd Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bettie McDonald Gilbert, Tullahoma; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Baldwin, Tullahoma; a stepson, John Butler, Memphis; a brother, Floyd Gilbert, Clovis, N.M.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
