Obituary. Fern passed peacefully at 97 years of age. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Married Ralph Christensen in 1937 and moved to Ballard where they lived until moving to Lopez Island in 1977. Ralph passed on in 1986. Fern remained on Lopez. She was very active in the community, traveled extensively, gardened and loved her family. She is survived by her daughter Rena, Grandsons Dave and Eric, and Great Granddaughter Kathia. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lopez Island Golf Club Sat. July 14, 2PM. Remembrances can be made to Lopez Island Hospice.
