Mr. Berghorn was united in marriage to Miss Louise Kruel, November 12, 1896.
Ten children were born to this union, two of whom preceded him in death.
Surviving him are the following: his wife, Mrs. Louise Berghorn; five sons, Armin of Vienna, Edward, Henry, Adolf and Gustave from Union; three daughters, Alvina from St. Louis, Emma from Union and Mrs. Clarence Schwentker from Washington; one sister, Mrs. Albert Berger from near Union; two daughters-in-law; one son-in-law Albert Berger from near Union and Herman Heidbrink of near Gerald; three grand children, Doris and Edward Berghorn and Wilbert Schwentker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a great number of friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev F.E.J. Schenk on Thursday afternoon May 23, 1935 in the home at two o’clock and in the Zion Evangelical Church in Union at two thirty o’clock. Interment was in the St. John’s church cemetery near Union, MO.
