On January 25, 2003, age related illness took our mom, Zola Lydia Payne Jarvis from us. She was born in Bloomington, August 3, 1916, a daughter of Joseph Burton and Margaret Alice Briscoe Payne. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was. the last survivor of seven children.
On February 8, 1933 she married her sweetheart and eternal companion, Frank Glenn Jarvis. Their first few years of their married life were spent in Bloomington. They moved to Ogden in 1940. They had 60 wonderful years raising their family and providing a warm, loving home where everyone was welcome. On February 8, 1993 on their 60th wedding anniversary, Dad passed away. She had a unique way of making everyone feel loved. On of her greatest strengths was being helpful without being invasive. Mom was able to maintain her independence and possessed a high intellect and keen sense of humor to the end. When she was 80 she fulfilled a life-long promise to her parents by receiving her high school diploma.
She leaves behind two sons and one daughter, Edwin (Midge) and Jay (Kathy) both of Riverdale; and Sandy Jackson of Washington Terrace.
