Sherri Lynn (ALFORD) SMILLIE, age 39, of Perrysburg, died Tuesday evening at St. Lukes Medical Center in Maumee, Ohio, after a brief illness. Survivors and arrangements will be announced later by the Evans & Groff Funeral Home.
Norwalk Reflector, Thursday, March 21, 2002: Sherri Lynn (ALFORD) SMILLIE, 39, of Perrysburg and formerly of Norwalk, died Tuesday evening at St. Luke's Medical Center in Maumee, after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1962 in Sandusky. She graduated from New London High School in 1981, and Owens Community College in 2000. She lived in Norwalk for five years, then moved to Perrysburg three years ago. She was a Workers Compensation Account Executive. She is survived by her husband, Glen SMILLIE; daughters, Blair STASCHKE and Brittany SMILLIE; a son, Clint STASCHKE; father and step-mother, Jim and Melba ALFORD; and mother, Loretta ALFORD; and a brother, Douglas ALFORD. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Evans & Groff Funeral Home, Benedict Chapel, 175 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Greg Rowan, pastor of Clarksfield United Methodist Church, officiating. Private interment will be held Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.
