Child Scalded To Death
Port of Boiling Water Overturned By Children.
A 7-month-old child of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Linceceum living in the Thompsonville neighborhood, was so badly scalded on Tuesday, March 30, that it died from the effects of the burns on the day following.
Another child, a little girl, was also seriously burned at the same time.
It seems that the little girl had the baby in her arms and went to the stove for the purpose of looking into the oven. As she stooped down it is said the baby reached out, and catching old of a pot containing boiling water, which was setting on the stove, pulled the vessell over upon the children, with the results as above stated.
