Mrs. Anton Kawleski, 68, a resident of Portage County practically all of her life, died Monday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock at her home at Eau Plaine. She had been ailing for four years and was confined to bed since last July 5.
A daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Przybylski, Mrs. Kawleski, whose maiden name was Veronica Przybylski, was born on January 22, 1872, in the state of New York. She came to Portage County at the age of three months with her parents, who first located in the town of Hull and later moved to the town of Carson. She was married to Mr. Kawleski on May 3, 1892 and the couple settled on the present farm home.
Mrs. Kawleski was a member of the Rosary societies of St. Casimir's Catholic Church in Hull and St. Michael's Catholic Church at Junction City.
Surviving are her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Stella Klestinski, 808 West Street; Mrs. Joe (Emily) Lukaszewicz, 414 E. Lincoln Avenue; Mrs. Frank (Anna) Kosmatka, 1912 N. Second Street; Mrs. ? (Bernice) Katsmarek; 426 ? Street and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Yaskowski of Eau Pleine; three brothers: Ed Przybylski of Eau Pleine; Frank Przybylski, 1214 Water Street and John Przybylski of Carson; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three infant sons, a sister, Mrs. John Hintz of Wisconsin Rapids, who died three years ago and a stepsister, Mrs. Marcenia Juraczak of Amherst Junction, who passed away six years ago.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at St. Michael's Church at Junction City and burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point. The body is at the family home where the rosary will be said tonight, Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 o'clock.
