JACKSON, Tenn. — Marian Maxine Jury Bateman, 76, of Jackson, Tenn., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at Jackson County General Madison Hospital.

Born Feb. 19, 1929, at Clearfield, she was a daughter of Charles and Nora (Moore) Jury and was raised by Roy and Fannie Fullington.

She graduated from Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and joined the Nurse Corps of the U.S. Air Force.

She wed Dr. Richard Maurice Bateman of Jackson, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bateman is survived by three sons, Dr. Richard E. Bateman and his wife. Sandy, of Kingsport, Tenn., Dr. Jeffrey M. Bateman and his wife, Tammy, of Yorktown, Va., and Dr. Mark M. Bateman and his wife, Jennifer, of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister, Rose Marie Clark of Clearfield; and two brothers, Harrison Jury of Clearfield and Richard Jury of Salt Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Roxane; and two brothers, Don and Dean.

Services were held at Pafford Funeral Home, Lexington, Tenn.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
