The former Hattie Bierman, was born in Kiel on July 2, 1899, a daughter of John and Annie Gisch Bierman. She attended grade schools in the town of Charlestown and New Holstein High School.
On May 25, 1924, she was married to Mr. Luehrs in Menominee, Mich. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1974. Mrs. Luehrs was employed at the Leveranz Shoe Co. plant at New Holstein for about 25 years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein.
Survivors are her husband, also a resident at the Veterans Hospital at King, and a son, Gordon of New Holstein.
Funeral services will be Thursday at St. John UCC. The Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
