Zillah was to have been the daughter of Wm & Epsey Collins. She may have been b. nr Hume, Fauquier Co., VA.

She wed William Heflin on 27 Oct 1789 nr Orlean, Fauquier Co., VA maybe in the, then, local CARTER'S RUN CHURCH. Per C.H. Rec. Mar. Bk 1:272. {People occupy the church, in 1995}

Their 1st 2 children, Reuben & Melinda, were b. nr Orlean, the rest of the 7 kids were b. in Bourbon Co., KY. The var. rec.s indicate they were living in Bourbon Co., KY in 1796-1810. And in 1811, in Montgomery Co., KY.

Like so many of the other Heflin Kin, Wm managed to obtain BLM Land Patents in Rush Co., IN, ca. 1826, and that is where he and Zillah spent the rest of their lives in/nr Homer. [His house was still there, in 1995].

They were both interred in the HURST CEMETERY, south of Homer, Walker Twp, Rush Co., IN.
