Obituary
William Earnest Billman was born in Primrose, Iowa, March 10, 1864. At the age of nine, after the death of his mother, he was taken to Franklin, Iowa by his foster father, Henry Feldman, where he lived until his marriage to Elizabeth Dyck in 1898. At the age of 14 Billman became a member of the Evangelical church at Franklin, Iowa. After his marriage the couple made their home near Moundridge, Kans. until 1902, from which place they moved to Deer Creek, where he lived until his death June 2, 1933, at the age of 69 years. To this union were born six children, two of who preceded him in death. Rachel Anna, who died at the age of 17, and Roy William, who died in infancy. Those left to mourn his departure are his wife, Mrs. William Billman, four daughters, Mrs. Harry Kugel, Salt Fork, Mrs. H. D. Seaman, [ sic Lemmon], Dallas. Miss Hilda Billman, Dallas and Viola Billman, Kansas City, Mo., two grandchildren, Bryan Lee Kugel and Betty Jane Lemon; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Hunter, of Willerton, Okla., a brother Fred B. Shumate of Lovelane, Colo.; a niece, Mrs. J. H. Jensen, of Medford and a nephew, Fred Cumpf, of Enid.

Billman Funeral.

Funeral services for William Billman, 69-year-old Deer Creek pioneer who died Friday, will be held at the Mennonite church in Deer Creek at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon with Rev. John Lichti officiating. Burial will be in the Bayard cemetery with the Pishney Funeral Home of Deer Creek in charge.
