The Board of Directors of the Louisville Trust Company, deeply grieved at the sudden death of its honored and beloved president. HECTOR V. LOVING. -who died at his residence, in this city on Thursday night, desires to give some lasting expression of its high appreciation of his life, his character, his worth and his services, and at a special meeting held this March 28, 1913 adopts the following testimonial, which is ordered to be spread at large upon the minutes of this meeting, and a copy of which shall be furnished to his family:

Hector V. Loving, son of Judge William V. Loving, a distinguished citizen and jurist of Warren county, Kentucky, was born in Bowling Green, September 8, 1839. His early education was obtained in private school in Bowling Green, where he was presented for a university course. He entered Hamilton College in New York State, whence he was graduated with high honors. He received the degree of Bachelor of Laws from the Law Department of the University of Louisville and became a partner in the law firm of Rhodes & Irving, at Bowling Green, Ky. Shortly thereafter he removed to Louisville, entered commercial life and established the firm of Irving and McGoodwin. This venture was marked with such success as follows marked ability and faithful application to business. He was appointed president of the. Louisville Trust Company at its organization, and continued in that position until his death.

So thoroughly was he identified with it, and its success, that it became a vital part of his daily life. To his sound judgment, wise discretion and broad comprehension of business, is due in a large measure, the success which this company has attained.

Personally, we have each lost a beloved, loyal and trusted friend, the company its honored president, the city one of its leading and most respected citizens, and his family a kind and noble father.

To his distressed family, bowed with the burden of this sudden grief, we extend our sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
