Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Alice Farabee, 74, of 618 S. Hughes Avenue, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Lisle Calaveras Chapel, followed by interment in Belmont Memorial Park. She died yesterday in a local hospital following an illness of six years.

Mrs. Farabee was born in Oklahoma Territory on Jan. 21, 1894, at what later became Cleveland, Okla. She arrived in Squaw Valley, California, at the age of 5, traveling overland by covered wagon. She lived in Fresno for 52 years, and was at one time a member of the Fresno Bird Club, affiliated with the Western Canary Breeders Association. Survivors include three daughters, all residing in Fresno: Mrs. Marguerite Knudson, Mrs. Louella Carley and Mrs. Norma A. Humphrey.
